in Northern ProvincePandanus serpentinicus is an endemic shrub of New Caledonia, restricted to the south of Grande Terre. P. serpentinicus is common species and it occurs in dense humid forest on ultramafic rocks up to 700 m asl. The main impact identified comes from bushfires. However, this species does not seem globally threatened and population does not seem to decline. Its area of occupancy (AOO) and extent of occurrence (EOO) being respectively estimated to 52 and 261 km², P. serpentinicus is considered Near Threatened (NT) close to Vulnerable D2 because of its small area of occupancy.

Population size is unknown.
Habitat
P. serpentinicus occurs in dense humid forest on ultramafic rocks at up to 700 m asl.
Threats
Pandanus serpentinicus does not seem globally threatened although some subpopulations can be impacted by bushfires.
Conservation
P. serpentinicus is protected by legislation in Province Nord. This species is found in two protected areas: Rivière bleue and Haute Yaté.
