in Northern ProvinceDracophyllum involucratum is an endemic shrub species in New Caledonia, widespread in the southern part of Grande Terre (main island). This species is found in shrubland on ultramafic rocks at an altitude range of 200-1,480 m asl. This species is less sampled as it is quite common and abundant and does not seem threatened. Therefore, D. involucratum is considered Least Concern (LC).

Dracophyllum involucratum is an endemic shrub species in New Caledonia, widespread in the southern part of Grande Terre (main island).
Population
D. involucratum is a common species with 8-10 subpopulations: Mont Humbolt, Mont Kouakoue, Route de Yaté, Plaine des Lacs, Forêt cachée, Route de Yaté, Mine Anna Madelaine, Goro.
Habitat
D. involucratum is found in shrubland on ultramafic rocks at an altitude range of 200-1,480 m asl.
Threats
This species does not seem globally threatened thanks to its abundance althought some subpopulations may be threatened by mining activities: Goro (VALE).
Conservation
Unprotected by legislation in New Caledonia, this species is found in numerous protected areas: Mt Humbolt, Chute de la Madeleine, Forêt cachée and Massif de Kouakoue.
