Beauprea crassifolia is a shrub growing up to 3 m high endemic from New Caledonia. It is known from three subpopulations ( Mont Colnett, Roches de la Ouaième and Tonine) restricted to the north east of Grande Terre. This species occurs in forests and forest borders on volcano-sedimentary substrate at an altitude range of 500-1,069 m asl. The main threats impacting this species come from quality habitat degradation caused by invasive species (Feral pigs) and uncontrolled bushfires in forest borders. Its Area of Occupancy (AOO) and Extent of Occurrence (EOO) are estimated to 16 km² and 46 km²,respectively, while the number of locations is estimated to be three. Therfore Beauprea crassifolia is considered Endangered (EN) using criteria B1ab (iii,v)+2ab(iii,v) with a decline of habitat quality and number of mature individuals.
