Acropogon bosseri is an endemic small tree of the south part of Grande Terre in New Caledonia. It is found in dense humid forest on an ultramafic substrate at an altitude of 800-1,215 m asl. This species does not seem directly threatened. A. bosseri is considered Least Concern (LC).

Geographical area


Acropogon bosseri is an endemic small tree of the south part of Grande Terre in New Caledonia. Its distribution area is delimited by : the Monts Dzumac and the Pic Comboui-Dent de St Vincent.

Population


This species is abundant where it has been observed.

Habitat


This species is found in dense humid forest on an ultramafic substrate at an altitude of 800-1,215 m asl.

Threats


This species does not seem directly threatened thanks to its distribution (altitudinal forest).

Conservation


Protected species by legislation in Province Nord but not in Province Sud, A. bosseri is also found in the Parc Provincial de la Haute-Dumbéa.
