Dracophyllum ramosum is an endemic shrub species of New Caledonia widespread in Grande Terre (main island). This species is found in shrubland on ultramafic rocks at an altitude range of 20-1,500 m asl. It is quite common and abundant species and does not directly treathened. Its extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) are 12,621 and 372 km², respectively. Therefore, D. ramosum is considered Least Concern (LC).

Population
Population size is unknown but field observations show it is a common species.
Habitat
This species is found in shrubland on ultramafic rocks at an altitude range of 20-1,500 m asl.
Threats
This species does not seem globally threatened, thanks to its abundance. Nevertheless some subpopulations may be threatened by mining activities: Goro (VALE), Tiebaghi (SLN), Koniambo (KNS), Kopeto (SLN), Plateau (SLN).
Conservation
Dracophyllum ramosum is protected by legislation in province Nord and it is found in numerous protected areas: Mt Humbolt, Chute de la Madeleine, Forêt cachée, Massif de Kouakoue.
