Lethedon cordatoretusa is probably most morphologically similar to L. ciliata, differing most obviously by the thick-coriaceous (vs. chartaceous) usually smaller leaves with a coarser scabrous abaxial pubescence (vs. usually softer pubescent). The two species also have non-overlapping distributions. Further analysis is needed to confirm if the variation in these taxa is discrete, or continuous and overlapping.
